Available immediately for users of iOS 11 devices and home hubs with tvOS 11, our latest firmware update for Eve Light Switch significantly improves performance by adding support for the new Bluetooth architecture introduced in iOS 11. Using secure broadcast notifications, Eve Light Switch now immediately triggers automations through your home hub running tvOS 11, so you can enjoy fast switching of all of your HomeKit-enabled accessories with just a touch of your finger – there’s practically no difference in behavior when compared to an IP-based accessory.
To install this update, open Eve. Refer to the small red circle with a number on the Settings icon in the tab bar. The number indicates the number of accessories with outdated firmware (or accessories that require a battery replacement). Tap Settings, then tap Accessories. Eve accessories that are ready to be upgraded are marked by a red arrow icon. This firmware update requires a direct connection between the accessory and your device, so please ensure that you remain close to Eve Light Switch during the process.
