Two-way for twice the convenience
Turn your tap into an intelligent water outlet without tying up your only outdoor faucet.
A two-way tap connector is an easy and inexpensive way to install Eve Aqua on your outdoor faucet and still have an outlet to attach a garden hose, fill up your watering can and more. The separate turn valves allow you to control the flow from each outlet individually. That means you don’t have to turn off Eve Aqua and your automatic watering system to simply fill up the kid’s play pool or hose off your muddy mountain bike. Talk about convenience! And here’s an extra little tip that could save you a big headache: measure the space below your faucet to see whether you have enough room to install the two-way connector and Eve Aqua.
Set the scene for endless possibilities
Combine Eve Aqua with multiple watering systems and relax while you multitask.
Eve Aqua is made for much more than sprinklers. It comes with a universal hose connector that allows you to attach a wide range of watering devices. For example, Eve Aqua is perfect for automated drip irrigation systems for your potted plants. (Go here for more on that.) But that’s not all. Connect Eve Aqua to your outdoor misting system, and you can cool off on a hot summer day without getting up from your lounge chair. All you have to do is use HomeKit scenes in your Eve or Home app to switch between multiple devices and watering times. Siri takes care of the rest. Simply name the scene and pour yourself another iced tea. Say, for example, “Hey Siri, mist me!” to activate your misting system for one minute. Or “Hey Siri, water balcony!” to turn on your balcony drip system for 20 minutes. Or how about “Hey Siri, fill watering can!” to turn on the tap for ten seconds. It’s all about setting your scene, and the possibilities are endless.

Sprinkler schedules that sufficiently soak and systematically save
Save water while keeping your grass green by setting the optimal watering time, duration and frequency.
You should water your grass thoroughly once a week says BUND, a grassroots German NGO dedicated to preserving and protecting the environment. The water should soak down to the roots, ideally about 15-20 centimeters. To determine if you’re watering long enough, use a thin wooden stick or a spade to check how deep the water has seeped. Then use the Eve App to set the required watering duration. Pick a day that works for you and set Eve Aqua to water early in the morning or late in the evenings, which are the best watering times of the day.
Hi,
I have a question: may I set the duration time for less than 1 minute? For instance, 20 seconds?
Many thanks & best regards,
Ugo
Hi Ugo! Minimum time for a watering schedule is 1 minute, sorry. Best, volker
10 sec is minimum default duration.
Hi Georgi! This is correct but I was referring to the schedules, where it is 1 minute. Best, volker
Hi,
Can I control eve aqua far away from my house over wifi, during holiday?
Hi Murat! If you use a home hub (https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT207057) at home in your network, you can control the Eve Aqua from far away. Best regards, volker
My tap is leaking a bit at the connection with Eve Aqua. Any thoughts how to limit this? Thanks.
Hi Michael! Eve Aqua features a standard 26.5 mm / G ¾” thread which can be used with most common outside taps. In order to avoid leaking, please make sure to fasten it as tightly as possible with your hands. If the thread of your tap is too short or its outlet bends too much, please use the supplied additional sealing ring to avoid leaking – just insert it into the thread adapter of your Eve Aqua, right on top of the regular sealing. Let me know if you still have the extra one, otherwise we’ll send one out. Best, volker
I got Eve Aqua for our front lawn. The Eve Aqua is about 3m next to our front door. Once I walk into the front door, I can’t connect to it anymore. Seems like the Bluetooth is not strong enough. I have to be in front of the device to control it. Is there a Bluetooth Range Extender you can recommend. Otherwise, it is pretty useless. Or I have to bring the Eve Aqua and Sprinkle inside to do a Kehrwoche with a lot of water…
Hi Peter! You are absolutely right, you should not have to stand next to Eve Aqua to make it work. As of today there is no Bluetooth range extender for HomeKit besides a home hub. Drop me a mail at volker(at)evehome(dot)com and I will have some more information. Best, volker
Is the Eve Aqua a good solution to detect leaks in the water consumption of the house (internal). what are the capabilities / reporting / precisions for that use case?
Hello Christophe! No, not at all. Eve Aqua is only made for watering your garden. Best regards, volker
Will the addition of an Eve Degree to an Eve Aqua allow me to set rules that stop watering if it rained that day?
Something like this: if humidity > 95% then pause waitering for 12 h
Even better would be if you could link Eve Aqua to a weather forecast.
Hello Michael! Please check the latest version of Eve and Eve Aqua. Via Shortcuts this is possible for two days. Best regards, volker
Hello Volker,
I purchased the Eve Aqua. I have no other Eve devices. Two questions: 1) how do I change the duration of the watering time. By my calculations, it is currently set to 10 minutes, but I want to change it to 2 hours. I have the app on my iPhone. 2) how do I automate it for, say 3x/week when I am away. I have wireless in my home. Thank you! Michael
Hello Michael! To set the watering duration, open the app Eve, goto the room, where Eve Aqua is added to and select Default duration to set it. You may set it up to 4 hours.
The easiest way to automate watering is using the schedules in the same screen. Select the tiny wheel right from the schedule and select days and the watering times. This will work without a home hub (https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT207057) cause the schedules are created locally on the iPhone and synced with Eve Aqua.
If you want an automation that sets watering once you are away, you would need a home hub.
And it is getting a bit more tricky: Eve can’t use your presence/absence as a condition in a trigger (timer). The app Home still can’t create scenes for sprinklers…
You have to use the app Eve to create a scene with the name “watering” or so. You select Turn On watering and the duration. You will find the created scene in Eve(of cause) and in Home.
In Home create a new Automation “A Time of Day Occurs”. Select the time and the days. Then tap on Off at People and select When I am not home. Tap Next and select the scene you created.
As I said, for automations like these you need a home hub. Best regards, volker
